Happy Friday friends!
We live in Florida (the sunshine state) and boy they aren’t lying when they refer to it as such. It is hot and sunny all year round, which means lots of sun and fun but also means we need protection against the sun rays especially for the little people.
I started using DIY sunscreen when my fourth was a baby because I was paying closer attention to the labels on sunscreen available at the drugstore and they do read “not suitable for children under 6 months of age”.
Furthermore, non-organic sunscreen can really affect the ocean when it washes off of our skin. Thankfully, there are better alternatives now & one of my current favorite sunscreens is by Beauty Counter. However, this doesn’t mean you can’t learn to make your own even more so if you have a very young child at home.
I put all the information together (including the necessary ingredients and recipe) in a blog piece I wrote for MommySpot Tampa. Read all about it here.
